NextSumit · A NextiClick product

A clearer view
of your stores.

Bring CounterPoint sales and location performance into a management workspace. Follow trading activity, compare selected stores, and investigate inventory exceptions without working through separate data extracts.

In active development for NCR CounterPoint. Installation, data access, and release readiness are confirmed for each environment.

From transactions to a management view

Understand the day across locations.

NextSumit’s sales reporting work brings together store selection, date filters, and key sales measures so managers can investigate performance in context.

01 /

Live and posted sales

Bring current document activity and posted ticket history into the reporting workflow. Handling posting transitions is part of the current development and validation work.

02 /

Location comparisons

Select individual stores, a group of stores, or the approved store roster to focus the view on the part of the business you manage.

03 /

Sales and margin context

Review ticket counts, sales amounts, tax, estimated cost, and gross margin together. Margin reporting depends on the source cost data.

Inventory Intelligence

Find the records that need a closer look.

Inventory Intelligence provides a read-only CounterPoint inventory overview, location comparisons, and item-level exception lists. Recent work also targets clearer exception reporting and discontinued-stock review, with release-specific deployment checks.

Recorded CounterPoint inventory values are not a reconciliation to the accounting general ledger. Negative quantities are review signals and do not automatically mean an error.

  • Compare inventory locationsReview recorded inventory value and item-location record counts across the selected locations.
  • Investigate negative quantitiesFind item-location records with negative on-hand or available quantities.
  • Review stock and cost exceptionsInspect positive-stock records with missing cost or status D. A discontinued-stock view is part of ongoing inventory work; status definitions and release readiness are checked for each installation.
  • Refresh with contextUse a manual refresh and display timestamp. Inventory may not yet reflect unposted tickets.
Sales Leaders · Development pilot

See which customers and items lead the selected period.

Choose approved locations and a date range of up to 31 days. Sales Leaders uses posted history only, so live/unposted activity is excluded. Preview rankings are operational views and are not certified financial reports.

Development pilot

Top customers by selected stores

Explore customers ranked by signed posted ticket subtotals for a selected store group and date range. Customer codes identify the groups; shared or walk-in codes may represent more than one buyer.

Gross-sales preview

Top items with scope made visible

The latest preview ranks eligible positive standard-sale lines from posted history. Returns, negative lines, other line types, and missing item codes are excluded and disclosed in the coverage warnings.

Planned after validation

Return-adjusted profit rankings

Net item sales and item/customer profitability leaderboards remain under development. Ticket-level revenue and cost reconciliation must be resolved before those measures are enabled.

Historical sales reporting

Take the selected period into your next review.

Filter posted sales by dates and locations, compare daily and store totals, and export the report to Excel or PDF. Keep the selected scope visible when sharing results with the team.

Read the figures with their source in mind.

Posted-history reports use posted cost; the live-sales view uses estimated cost. Current reports remain preliminary while void, return, and revenue/cost reconciliation rules are validated.

Recent development adds a read-only ticket reconciliation diagnostic to investigate differences. That diagnostic supports validation; it is not a new dashboard module or a certified profit report.

System fit & availability

Start with the right connection.

The current NextSumit project is built around an on-premises CounterPoint SQL Server environment. A guided review checks access, source data, store mapping, and the release being demonstrated.

Current focus

NCR CounterPoint

Sales reporting with Excel/PDF exports, read-only Inventory Intelligence, and a posted-only Sales Leaders pilot. SQL Server access and a configured application API are needed. Available modules and their validation status depend on the installed release.

We confirm supported versions, deployment requirements, and reporting definitions during setup.

Future direction

Broader integrations

Additional SQL-based POS and ERP connections are a product direction. Support for a specific platform is not implied until its connector and data mapping have been implemented and validated.

NextSumit questions

Know what you’re evaluating.

Are Top Items figures net of returns?

No. The current gross Top Items preview includes eligible positive posted standard-sale lines and discloses excluded lines. It is not a net-sales, return-adjusted, or profit ranking.

Can we compare leaders for an individual store?

The Sales Leaders pilot supports approved store selections, including individual stores and groups, over up to 31 calendar days. It uses posted history, with availability and data interpretation confirmed during the pilot.

Is NextSumit a POS replacement?

NextSumit is a reporting and visibility product. Your existing CounterPoint system remains the source of transactions and inventory records.

Does it change inventory or accounting records?

The initial Inventory Intelligence module uses read-only queries. It does not adjust inventory or update Dynamics GP.

Does the inventory module identify slow-moving stock?

The current inventory focus is location overviews and quantity/cost exceptions. Slow-moving-inventory calculations remain a separate planned step that requires validated sales-date definitions.

Can we use it with another ERP?

The current development targets CounterPoint. Other POS/ERP integrations require separate implementation and validation. Send your system name and version with your inquiry.
